TAQA Supplier Qualification Process
To ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence, TAQA follows a structured Supplier Qualification Process. This process verifies that all suppliers, contractors, and service providers meet the organization’s technical, financial, and compliance requirements before being engaged in any projects or procurement activities.
1. Generic Supplier Prequalification
This stage assesses a supplier’s overall capability and compliance with TAQA’s operational, legal, and ethical standards. It covers aspects such as organizational structure, management systems, financial soundness, HSE practices, and adherence to UAE labor laws. Once approved, the qualification remains valid for three years and is automatically renewed upon expiry.
2. Category-Based Technical Qualification
Suppliers are evaluated based on the specific products or services they offer. This assessment confirms the supplier’s technical expertise and capacity to meet TAQA’s category-specific requirements. To ensure continued eligibility, suppliers must regularly update their profiles and maintain accurate information in line with their trade license. This qualification also holds a three-year validity and may include site visits if necessary.
3. Product Technical Qualification
When a supplier introduces a new product, it undergoes a technical qualification phase to confirm its suitability for TAQA’s operations. Products may be tested or piloted in a controlled environment to ensure they meet performance, safety, and reliability benchmarks before approval.
